Dormer Example:

BEFORE: The back of the roof is opened up at rear. Steel beams are inserted,  the floor is reinforced and windows are inserted in the front.
AFTER: The finished dormer transformed. The chimney breasts are left visible to add character and the Velux windows give plenty of extra light. The room opens out at the back with a full dormer giving maximum full height space.

THE BUILDING PROCESS:   The images on the right illustrate the process from start to finish. All the work of constructing the dormer is carried out from above. The connecting staircase is not put in until the dormer construction is completed causing minimum disruption and inconvenience to the rest of the building.

French doors in the back of the dormer create light, space and maximise the view that this new conversion  provides.

The interesting angles in the roof space allow many design possibilities as shown above with this large spa bath.

The space achieved allows for a second bathroom complete with toilet, sink and large shower.
